Care & Compassion

“Let each one do just as he has resolved in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7)

Grace Hill Church desires to display the love of Jesus by reaching out to both our local community and broader community by sharing our time, facilities and financial gifts with those in need.

We are motivated by Colossians 3:12 where we are told as God’s chosen people, we are to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Some of the practical ways we share the love of Jesus include visitation, pastoral prayer, funeral planning and services, and meeting other immediate needs of those in our community.

Please see specific dates and times for upcoming event in What’s New and  our Church Calendar included elsewhere.

Compassion Journey

Compassion Journey is a project of Compassion International.

For over 60 years, Compassion International has been making a difference in the lives of children growing up in some of the most impoverished places on earth. Compassion Journey helps connect people to the realities of children growing up in extreme poverty.

The goal of the Compassion Journey experience is to ignite conversations around how we can all help children around the world. The Compassion Journey event includes an audio-guided trip through different environments to show some of the unique challenges faced by children growing up in extreme poverty.

Compassion International’s core strategy for combating child poverty is one-to-one sponsorship. Sponsors are individually connected with a child who will get to know them personally through exchanged letters. A monthly  contribution provides life-changing opportunities including: nutrient-rich meals, preventative medical care and check-ups, school fees, uniforms, books, and whatever the child needs to attend or stay in school, Bible teaching, professional counseling and mentoring by safe adults and tutoring and vocational training.

Grace Hill periodically opens up our facilities to host Compassion Journey events and several of our members sponsor children around the world through Compassion International.

Operation Christmas Child

Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world.

Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Operation Christmas Child is a program  sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse and supported by Grace Hill Church members each year at Christmas time through donations of “Shoe Boxes” filled with gifts for children around the world.

Every year since 1993, Samaritan’s Purse has collected shoebox gifts filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items for children around the world. To date, more than 188 million children in more than 170 countries and territories have received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox.

The project delivers not only the joy of what, for many kids, is their first gift ever, but also gives them a tangible expression of God’s love.

School Backpack Drive

Grace Hill Church works with schools to  conduct a  “School Backpack Drive” annually to provide school supplies to children in Morgan Hill.

Church members provide backpacks filled  with notebooks, binders, paper, pencils, crayons and other school supplies that are gifted to school children throughout the Morgan Hill area.

Grace Hill Community Blood Drive

Grace Hill Church in collaboration  with the Stanford Blood Center hosts blood drives on our church campus during the year.

Advent Home

Advent Group Ministries (AGM) is a faith-motivated, non-profit, social-service agency providing counseling and addiction recovery services to people of all ages and income levels since 1985.

AGM’s Mission is to empower people to restore relationships and break the destructive cycles of abuse and addiction through the hope and healing made possible by Christ's love and quality treatment.

AGM offers a program that provides a clean and sober home environment to chemically dependent adolescent boys and girls (Advent Home). Intensive and structured services provide the youth with the tools they need to live a clean and sober lifestyle.

Grace Hill periodically donates to this organization to support the Advent Home program.

Informed Choices

Informed Choices serves the community providing free pregnancy tests, education, and material support to women and families in the southern Santa Clara County.

As a Gospel-Centered and Life-Affirming Pregnancy Medical Clinic, Informed Choices motto is simply: “Supporting Women… Upholding Life…”

Grace Hill periodically donates to this organization to support the services Informed Choices provides.
